Real Professionals ask for GearWrench by Name

GearWrench Tools got its start back in 1995, with support from large retailers like Ace Hardware and Sears. It quickly became the go-to brand for industrial-grade tools. From the original Ratcheting Wrench to a full line of professional hand tools, this household name offers the kind of high-quality results professionals across the industry require day in and day out. Care to know just how dependable GearWrench is? Ask Hank O’Hop, a sales associate at Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. who happens to be restoring a 1969 Dodge Charger.

Personal Experience Knows Best

“In my personal experience, I’ve used their tools a few times and honestly they really are a total game changer. I mean the first thing that comes to mind is how awesome it is to have the ratcheting box wrenches in a tight spot. Like when backing up a bolt between an engine and a firewall. Everyone has tried jamming a regular socket wrench back there, getting stuck, cursing and then backing it up by hand only to curse again because fingers cramp up. The low profile box wrench gets right in there. And it doesn’t get stuck against the firewall, ultimately saving frustration,” said O’Hop.

“Another place I’ve used them is on ball joints. Not even deep well sockets can reach past the nut on a ball joint without binding up on the shank. I’ve used their wrenches in place there because being able to ratchet the wrench back and forth instead of having to reposition it back on the nut every half turn really saves time. When you work outside like I do and jobs stretch well into the night when light is limited, that really helps from getting excited and rounding off the nut every so often. Not that it always happens, but it’s really frustrating when it does,” continued O’Hop.

“I mean, in comparison to others, they’re the original. And that always gives a manufacturer an edge over the competition. They’ve had more time to improve their product and work out any kinks. I have a few ratcheting box wrenches. But I am already planning to invest in some more of their product for when I move onto the mechanical work on the Charger!”
