Addictive Desert Designs takes its name pretty seriously. With a robust product lineup of heavy duty off-road accessories, each item features unique styling cues born from “an addiction to push the limits of design” paired with “a love for the desert,” according to the Arizona-based company. Yes, we’ve covered this exciting brand before and remain impressed with ADD’s commitment to 100% American-made products, including locally sourced raw materials and a 24/7 manufacturing process. We just can’t say enough good things about the rugged, eye-catching designs that define its broad range of offerings for Jeeps, trucks, and SUVs. Today, let’s gush over some must-have new products from Addictive Desert Designs.
Bump, Bump, Bump It Up.
While ADD’s product line extends to suspension kits, roof racks, tire carriers, winches, and more, its bread-and-butter is top-quality bumpers. And boy oh boy do they have exciting new releases for vehicle owners who desire more oomph than stock.
2019 RAM 1500 Rebel Front and Rear Bumpers
When your goal is to engineer the world’s toughest and most visually appealing products, only the toughest and most visually appealing applications will do. So, is it any surprise that a name like the 2019 RAM 1500 Rebel is kicking off this list of hot new products from Addictive Desert Designs?
As the off-road capable trim level of MotorTrend’s 2019 Truck of the Year, the Rebel already sports some aggressive fine-tuning on behalf of the automaker. Never one to settle for factory styling though, ADD’s all-new Stealth Fighter Front Bumper complements existing body lines with a rugged yet practical bolt-on that adds protection without all the extra bulk.
Four versions are available: a standard bumper, one with parking sensor cutouts, one with a winch mount, and one with both a winch mount and sensor cutouts. All four however, share a heavy-duty steel structure with CNC-cut aluminum panels, black powder coat finish, a modern radius-plate design that fits tight to the body, reinforced D-Ring mounts, and a mount for a 40″ radius LED or 10 cube lights. Additionally, the bumper is truly bolt-on, meaning absolutely no cutting or welding is necessary for proper installation.
Complete the look with a matching rear bumper constructed with the same integrity and sporting a unique look that offers two rear-facing cube light mounts, D-ring mounts, and optional backup sensor cutouts, while maintaining access to the factory tow hitch and trailer plug.
2019 Ford Ranger Front and Rear Bumpers
Along the theme of “tough and visually appealing” is ADD’s lineup of truck accessories for the beloved returning little champ, the 2019 Ford Ranger. Yep, that’s right—ADD is that committed to being first to market that they have an ENTIRE line of front and rear bumpers, side steps, and chase racks for a vehicle that isn’t even available at all Ford dealerships yet.
But in the interest of being fully prepared for that new purchase, let’s unpack what ADD’s got on the docket. First up? Those sweet new bumpers. Available in either Stealth Fighter or Venom R designs, they sport a steel and aluminum construction with a black powder coat finish and fully bolt-on configuration. The standard Stealth bumper offers the same features as found on the Rebel’s, but ADD takes things further by offering a Stealth “R” front bumper, that provides a “signature prerunner bumper look.” Built of .120 wall steel tubing and CNC laser cut aluminum panels, it offers front-end protection and increased approach angle, along with a patented universal light mount system accommodating a 30” radius LED light bar or up to seven cube lights. Did we mention it looks as bold as it performs?
The Venom R rocks the same steel/aluminum construction as the Stealth R but sports a sleeker, more low profile look. Additionally, the light mount system accommodates a smaller setup—20” radius light bar or up to five cube lights.
Matching rear bumpers are available with dimple died steps on the Venom, reinforced D-ring mounts on the Stealth, and two cube light mounts and optional sensor cutouts available for both.
Also available for the 2019 Ford Ranger are ADD Lite and Rock Sliders side step systems. Both are constructed of sturdy steel tubing, while the Rock Sliders series features a dimple died aluminum top plate and a white LED strip to light up the step in the dark.
Also new is a sleek Race Series chase rack, featuring mounting options for a 40” light bar and ADD’s light actuator kit to raise and lower a front-facing light bar that can be tucked away when not in use. And rounding out the Ranger product lineup is a three-piece modular design HoneyBadger chase rack comprised of a base rack, tire carrier, and roof rack, so you can build up the level of utility that suits you.
2019 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 Front and Rear Bumpers
And for those Chevy fans thinking, “You’ve been ramblin’ about the wrong badge.” don’t worry, as there are some exciting new products from Addictive Desert Designs just for you, too.
New for the redesigned 2019 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 are ADD’s Stealth Fighter front and rear bumpers. Similar to those offered for the RAM 1500 Rebel, the front bumpers come in four variations: standard, sensor cut out, winch-mount equipped, or sensor and winch configured. Each offers superior front-end protection without comprising factory styling, and add a little extra growl in the process. A modern radius plate design allows for a tight fit, and a heavy-duty steel and aluminum construction with a black powder coat finish ensures lasting power. The Silverado-specific version is designed to keep the factory air dams, while the Sierra-model keeps factory fog lights free and clear. Both are available with light mounts for up to 10 cube lights or 40″ radius light bar, reinforced D-Ring mounts, and cube light mounts behind the side panels.
The matching rear bumpers come in a variety of Stealth Fighter-series configurations as well, so you can choose your own style-adventure. All options retain access to the factory hitch and trailer plug, and come equipped with two rear facing cube light mounts, reinforced clevis mounts, and a fully bolt-on design. From there, you can upgrade to a bumper that fits exhaust tips or offers blind spot and/or backup sensor mounts.
