Even MORE Jeep Gladiator Products for All Your Outdoor Adventures

The last time Jeep offered a truck platform, acid wash jeans and frosted tips were still a part of mainstream style. And while some things have (thankfully) stayed in the 90’s, the adventure-ready badge decided it was high time to bring back a truck of its own. Debuting in May 2019, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator has certainly made a positive impression on truck and off-road enthusiasts. As the first (and only) Trail Rated pickup, it is undoubtedly impressive in stock form. Pair all that capability with excellent styling, and you’ve got a vehicle guaranteed to handle whatever you have planned for it.

But the pleasure in owning a Jeep comes from customizing it for those plans.

A few days ago we ran down some exciting new products to beef up your Gladiator’s suspension, exhaust, wheels & tires, and exterior protection. This time, we’re covering much-needed accessories, especially those that tackle the most important feature of Jeep’s new truck—the bed!

Cargo Management

Get the most out of your Gladiator’s carrying capability with any one of these innovative storage accessories.

Dee Zee Aluminum Cab Racks

For 2020, Dee Zee has not only introduced a complete product line for the Jeep, the company has also gone all-in on the overlanding trend. From lockable storage to a variety of useful side steps, to optimized setups for auxiliary lighting, Dee Zee covers a lot of useful ground right from the get-go. However, when outfitting your Gladiator for your outdoor adventure needs, the brand recommends starting with two Dee Zee Aluminum Cab Racks.

Made of 100% 2.75” aluminum tubing with a protective gloss or textured black powder coating, they set the base for a full rack system with endless possibilities. Choose between using two open racks or a protective mesh front and open rear combo, and then tie everything together with your choice of overland side rails, top rails, and MOLLE panels.

Putco VentureTec Rack

Another familiar brand recently jumping into the overlanding game with its new VentureTEC Rack is Putco. Designed to take you and your essentials wherever the adventurous spirit leads you, the VentureTEC sports a lightweight aluminum construction and patent-pending TEC channel system. Made in the USA, it mounts to any truck via a simple, no-drill installation that utilizes stake pocket mounts. Weight capacity is 1,000lbs static, 600lbs dynamic, and 300lbs off-road dynamic.

Built with accessorizing in mind, the unit also offers multiple tie-down points and a custom groove for integrating Putco’s Blade or Luminex Series light bars. And thanks to CNC axis bending, it matches your exact vehicle’s cab contours, creating a sleek look.

DECKED Drawer System

Surprised at how fast that bed fills up with gear, equipment, snacks, and beer? If “Get Organized” was at the top of your resolutions list this January, consider checking out DECKED’s midsize drawer storage system. Custom-built to fit the new Gladiator, it consists of two full bed-length drawers and a 2000-lb payload.

The midsize system features one full-size drawer and one narrow drawer. Built of stainless steel and HDPE, they are not only sturdy but also weatherproof. Plus, thanks to DECKED’s unique dividers and boxes, you can customize your setup to your exact needs. Learn more about the system, as well as DECKED’s other new products, HERE.

Tuffy Bedside Storage Lockboxes

Debuting at SEMA 2019, this all new in-bed storage system allows you to safely and neatly store gear, tools, and valuables. The unique design consists of two 16-gauge, 1/8-inch thick welded steel compartments that mount to either side of the truck’s bed, leaving the center free for traditional hauling space. Each compartment offers additional organization in the form of three sections with separate and lockable lids.

Fabtech Cargo Rack

Sporting a rugged three-piece design, this heavy duty, mid-height rack clamps to the inside of the factory bed rails or to the bed track for a quick and easy installation.

Great for up to 150lbs of additional cargo storage above the bed rail, it leaves the entire bed floor open for other gear and supplies.

Tents

If your only sleeping option consists of “on the ground wrapped up like a burrito,” it might be time to consider an alternative solution.

Tepui Ruggedized Series Kukenam 3 Roof Top Tent

If you demand the toughest tent for your off-grid adventures, this might be the product for you. Featuring 360g dual stitched fabric that’s 40% heavier than standard models, a fully-wrapped 3/4″ heavy duty internal frame, and a welded aluminum base construction, Tepui is not joking around when it denotes this as the “Ruggedized Series.”

Extra-large internal pockets, gear anchor points, and bedding straps add utility to all that grit while two built-in screened SKY panels and an anti-condensation mat under the mattress allow for some comfortable (and dry) star gazing.

Yakima SkyRise

Using lightweight but strong 210D nylon, the Yakima SkyRise promises a warm, dry sleeping environment with mesh panels for extra ventilation and views of the night sky. An easy to pitch design ensures a simple setup, while a 2.5″ thick wall-to-wall foam mattress guarantees a good night’s sleep.

The Small provides room for two, while the Medium (pictured here) sleeps three.

Rightline Gear Mid-Size Short Bed Truck Tent

Elevated sleeping not really your thing? Consider taking full advantage of that truck bed with a tent from Rightline Gear. The unit completely covers the tailgate of the truck, allowing you to use every inch of available space. Water-resistant fabric ensures you get a dry night’s rest, as do the tent’s tape-sealed seams and storm covers.

This is a floorless design, which makes set up a breeze, but you may want to consider pairing it with Rightline Gear’s Mid Size Truck Bed Air Mattress for added comfort. Purchased together, you’re looking at about a $300 investment. We call that an extremely budget-friendly sleeping solution!

Tonneaus

Hands down one of the best investments you can make for your Jeep Gladiator (or any pickup truck) is a tonneau cover. Offering bed protection, cargo security, improved fuel economy, and better styling, this is a must-have accessory.

TrailFX Premium Flush Hard-Folding Tonneau Cover

Looking for that sweet spot where quality meets affordability? Then look to TrailFX. The brand’s Premium Flush Hard-Folding Tonneau features four riding positions, a matte black aluminum construction with carpeted under panels, integrated LED lights, and a finished tailgate edge—at a competitive price point and with a comprehensive warranty to boot.

Available in hard or soft, rolling or folding configurations, Rugged Ridge Armis bed covers offer Jeep Gladiator owners a broad selection of options. Learn more about each of these styles HERE.

If you’re in the market for something a little higher on the totem pole, check out Roll-N-Lock’s newest offering for the Jeep Gladiator. Sophisticated and versatile, this retractable tonneau cover features a rigid, vinyl-over-aluminum laminated construction that opens and closes in seconds flat.

“There are no snaps to manipulate, no roll or bundle to lash down or stow, no cross bars to negotiate, no fabric shrinkage to struggle with and, best of all, no worries about the security of cargo,” says the company.

Extang Trifecta 2.0

Searching for something exceptionally budget-friendly without all the bells and whistles? Check out the Extang Trifecta 2.0. Reliable protection, easy installation, and a sleek low-profile appearance all for less than $500, make this a bargain. The lifetime warranty? That makes it a no-brainer!

Auxiliary Lighting

While the rest of this list focuses on maximizing your truck bed’s potential, we can’t leave out the benefit of upgraded or additional lighting. We recently did a comprehensive write-up on some of the really exiting trends that came out of SEMA for this market in particular.

Quake LED colored halo lightsSome of the more innovative products that piqued our interest were the headlights, DRL upgrades, halo kits, and colored options from brands Oracle and Quake, as well as the high-intensity light bars and cube lights from suppliers like Vision X and Baja Designs.

One brand that’s still relatively new in the U.S. that we feel deserves a shout-out is XRAY Vision. Based in Australia, these guys produce lighting solutions built to withstand the Outback, so you can rest assured they’re tough enough for your Gladiator adventures.

The company uses die-cast alloys, stainless steel, and a virtually unbreakable polycarbonate to ensure product longevity. But it’s their exclusive Quad-Optic LED Multiplexer Projection lighting technology that really sets them apart. Basically, four individual optical components gather and project light from high-powered LEDs, rather than scattering that light from a single shallow reflector. This means you can see farther and clearer, even in the most rugged terrain. So, while they look like a traditional lightbar, they actually offer better visibility, a sleeker design, and a lower profile. Check them out HERE.

Light mounting

Light mounting brackets and cradles are a simple but important purchase, ensuring your auxiliary lighting stays securely in place, no matter what adventures you take your rig on. Go Rhino light mounting accessories allow for easy auxiliary lighting installation to the hood hinge, lower A-pillar, upper cowl, hood clamp, or hard top. So, whether you’re adding a massive double row 50” LED light bar to your ride, or simply placing a few strategic cube lights, Go Rhino offers a well-crafted and convenient mounting solution.

Constructed of 3/16” cold rolled steel and finished with a black textured powder coating, Go Rhino light mounts can withstand harsh weather and rough trail conditions with ease. And, just in case something does fail, you can turn to the company’s 5-year warranty for peace of mind.

Go Rhino XE series light mounts give you the largest variety of mount options for your JL or JT. With 18 different options, all you need to do is pick what lights you want.

Check out the video below for a peek at these stylish light mounts.

Aside from these upgrades, items like towing accessories, recovery gear, and even interior add-ons like floor mats and grab handles can help add even more utility and style to your Gladiator. Whether you use it as a daily-driver, an off-road dominator, or a true pavement princess, the aftermarket is ready to help make it your own.
