SHOP PROFILE: Go All Out on Your Next Custom Ride with Allout Offroad

Humble roots and keen foresight have ignited two decades of success for the team at Allout Offroad. Owner Chance Kamp started the business as one small storefront, in a tiny building, with a single service bay and one tinting area. “What began as commercial window tinting for buildings, homes, etc. morphed into something a whole lot more. People were coming in and wondering if Kamp could tint cars and then began asking for automotive accessories. He always had a passion for aftermarket vehicles, so it was a natural fit,” said Mike Clark, General Manager of Allout Offroad and member of the team since 2005.

Since its debut in 1991, Allout Offroad has expanded to five retail locations—four in the Houston, Texas area and another in the Dallas, Texas metro. And today, the crew serves up some of the finest and fiercest custom builds in the biz.

“Truck and off road is still our core competency, specializing in truck accessories, custom suspension, wheels and tires. But over the years, our performance and electronics business has grown significantly,” said Clark. “We never want to turn anyone away so we use that [mindset] as a way to continuously expand our customer base, from retail traffic and dealership opportunities to commercial business and beyond,” he added.

“We aren’t order takers at Allout Offroad; we’re sales people. We’re here to give our customers the best possible experience and guide their vision in the right direction from start to finish,” said Clark.

Allout Offroad’s precision, pride, and passion toward the craft of customization is apparent upon first glance of any finished product. No matter the project, the team brings its “A” game each and every day by applying an acute attention to detail while tricking out trucks, upfitting trailblazers, decking out the hottest UTVs, accessorizing rides, and restoring or rebuilding vintage classics to their previous glory. Just take a peek at the business’s Facebook page to see any number of sweet rides and happy customers. And for the past 16 years, Allout Offroad has benefited from Keystone Automotive‘s impressive depth and breadth of inventory, attentive customer service, as well as consistent and timely deliveries. Clark discusses three specific areas that contribute to sustainable growth together:

Relationships Make a Difference

Common business values and a mutual passion for the industry at large serve as a foundation of respect, but Allout Offroad’s rapport with inside sales associate Jay Shelton has transformed the partnership into a true relationship. “Our business has grown with Keystone tremendously since we started doing business in 2000. Our relationship with Jay Shelton makes an enormous impact. He’s been with us over a dozen years, knows our business, and knows us personally. It’s not just about talking shop,” said Clark.

A business can achieve many admirable accomplishments and continue to grow its financial infrastructure leaps and bounds, but people are ALWAYS at the heart of the overall success. Strong industry relationships and a dedicated team committed to driving daily results are essential components of long-term growth in the automotive aftermarket.

Logistics Done RIGHT

To Clark and his team at Allout Offroad, time is money. “At Keystone, there are so many parts in stock and we receive competitive pricing. It’s an easy return process with friendly and helpful customer service. And you can’t beat the delivery. Keystone is consistently the first truck at our stores every day. They’re reliable, efficient, accommodating, and just a no-hassle distributor,” said Clark.

Allout Offroad now pulls its inventory from the local Dallas warehouse. Previously, it was serviced out of Georgia. “I was amazed that I could order product at 4 pm and it would be on my door step the next morning. Local regional competitors couldn’t get it to me that quick. When you know a distributor is going to have your parts in stock and get it to you next day then they become your go-to. It’s a no brainer,” said Clark.

Synching Up with e-Keystone

The e-Keystone system is a one-of-a-kind tool with exclusive capabilities. And it’s become such a valuable part of Allout Offroad’s business that they decided to integrate e-Keystone with their own point-of-purchase system. Now, that’s dedication!

Both Keystone and Allout Offroad continuously innovate, push boundaries, and diversify in the name of excellence. They consistently increase efficiencies to better serve their customer base. Allout Offroad’s story serves as a reminder of the important aspects of doing great business and seeking out strong partnerships.
