MagnaFlow Exhaust Systems Let Freedom Ring On Your American Truck

American truck manufacturers are pretty well known for their repeat offense of resorting to overly-patriotic ad campaigns to sell product. Seriously guys, cool it with the flags and the rescue dogs and the John Mellencamp background music. Because those of us who embrace our modern ‘Murican stereotypes know that if these big wigs wanna sell a bunch of trucks, the answer is simple. Keep your fancy footage of a pickup splashing through puddles on a studio backlot and give us what we really want:

BIG. GNARLY. THROATY AF EXHAUST SYSTEMS.

This isn’t difficult. You want us to believe your new model—with the safety nets and the baby cams and the downright absurd number of touchscreen options—is rough and rugged and up to whatever we can throw at it? Then why does it sound like the choppy recording of a castrati choir??

You’re selling power—durable, capable, gritty, American power. Last time I checked, FREEDOM had a significantly tougher ring.

Something a little like this:

As usual, you want something done right, you turn to the aftermarket. And in this case, to MagnaFlow exhaust systems.

With nearly 40 years in the biz, MagnaFlow is pretty in tune with what customers want. Beginning as a simple, small business that distributed exhaust components, the company has since grown into an aftermarket titan, thanks to years of R&D, customer feedback, and a discriminating ear for sweet, sweet exhaust notes.

The company stands as one of the most trusted names in exhaust systems, namely for its commitment to quality. Using premium-grade steel and cutting-edge manufacturing processes, MagnaFlow wraps its products in a Made-in-the-USA stamp of approval. With an enormous product line, crazy builds, and star-studded lineup of brand ambassadors, it would honestly take effort to not encounter the brand at every turn in the industry.

Which leads us back to that growly little minx in the video above.

Sixteen pounds lighter than the stock exhaust, MagnaFlow’s solution offers better performance, better economy, and obviously—a much better sound. It features 4” mandrel bent tubing and 5” intercooled tips, available in either a polished (PART NO. 19422) or black-coated (19423) finish. The system comes complete with all necessary parts and hardware and uses a bolt-on installation. And MagnaFlow backs it up with a limited lifetime construction warranty, as well as a 1-year warranty on the black-finished tips.

MagnaFlow knows that here in America, it’s our differences that make us great. So, the manufacturer has whipped up some exciting products for two other major pickup contenders on today’s market: the award-winning RAM 1500 and redesigned Chevy Silverado.

This past summer, MagnaFlow announced its new cat-back exhaust for the 2019 RAM 1500, promising to unearth the true growly potential of that stock 5.7-liter HEMI V8.

Featuring 3” mandrel-bent tubing, two stainless-steel mufflers, and dual 5” tips, the system delivers an efficient exhaust flow with MagnaFlow’s signature power, performance, and sound. Available in either a polished (19429) or black-coated finish (19430), the system accommodates all cab sizes, bed lengths, and wheel drives of the aforementioned model/engine combo. And it’s backed by that same competitive warranty.

More recently, MagnaFlow announced it is now shipping a new D-Fit kit for the 2009-2018 RAM 1500 / 2019 RAM 1500 Classic.

With 3” tubing and a 5x8x18” muffler, the kit replaces the restrictive factory muffler, while maintaining the OEM piping and tailpipe. MagnaFlow explains, “the straight-through design muffler (PART NO. 19439) or muffler delete (19440) reduces backpressure creating more power and increasing economy without replacing the entire exhaust system.”

Hear it in action below.

And, don’t worry Chevy fans. MagnaFlow exhaust systems have you covered too.

Were you stoked to see that the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado would be the first Silverado to feature a factory dual exhaust, only to be disappointed with its wimpy whine? Yea, so were we.

Luckily, you can jazz up that sad imitation with MagnaFlow’s stainless steel cat-back exhaust system. Available in either a polished (19477) or black-coated (19478) finish, this system features 3” mandrel-bent tubing and a quad rear exit, for rich baritone sounds and optimum engine-breathing benefits. Those seeking a little more growl can opt for the larger 3.5” tubing (PART NO. 19489).
