Imagine the freedom to go anywhere. It’s that feeling of freedom that has the overlanding trailer industry booming. Timbren has turned the world of trailer suspension on its head. Timbren Axle-Less suspension delivers a smooth quiet ride without the usual restrictions of an axle. Free your mind and read on.

Axle-Less Suspension

Even though Timbren Axle-Less Suspension debuted in 2011 and doesn’t qualify as a new product, there is a renewed interested in off-grid recreation.  Building or modifying a camper trailer for the off-road involves more than just bigger tires.  Proper suspension will give you the clearance and ride you need to reach the most remote of destinations.  Timbren starts with steel brackets and discs for maximum durability. The steel is given a long-lasting powder coat finish to keep your camper looking great.

To achieve the smooth ride characteristics, Timbren Axle-Less Suspension uses premium urethane bushings, grooved to allow lubrication at the pivot point. This design is the pinnacle of quietness, and after all, peace and quiet is what you’re after, right?

Rebound Relationship

The rebound spring’s role is extremely important. At first glance it looks very similar to the Suspension Enhancement Systems (SES) that Timbren is most known for. The rebound spring creates constant tension on the jounce spring when the trailer is empty. No matter if the trailer is empty or full, the trailer will always have a smooth ride without the bounce of typical trailer suspension.

The cool part about Axle-Less Suspension from Timbren, is that it can be bolted to the frame of a trailer of any width.  There are Axle-Less Suspension kits rated to support 400-7000lbs, and some include 4″ of lift or drop.  These specialized applications can really help make your trailer project ideally suit what you have in mind for it.  Freedom Awaits!
