Where To? Top Cars and Coffee Pit Stops You Should See

As a global phenomenon, Cars and Coffee has been the go-to event for automotive enthusiasts all over the world. An opportunity for all gearheads—no matter their ride—to share a passion for powerful engines and beautiful styling. With locations in over 200 cities across the United States, it’s likely there’s one near you. But if you’ve never been to one, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. Well, lucky for you we’ve whittled down some of the best locations. Not only will this give you a better feel for what to expect, but we’re sure it’ll inspire you to head to an upcoming local Cars and Coffee.

Pontiac, Michigan: M1 Concourse

Just over a 30-minute drive from the Motor City and home of the legendary Woodward Ave, it’s only natural that Pontiac, Michigan is a hub for automotive activities. Beyond the historical attractions, Pontiac is also home to the M1 Concourse racetrack, where this particular Cars and Coffee is held.

Indianapolis, IN: Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum

Every month Cars and Coffee touches down at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, located just outside the historical 2.5-mile oval track. The free event is open to all makes and models, and coffee and donuts are complimentary for visitors. Participants can drool over other rides and swap stories over a fresh cup of java and then tour the museum afterwards. Entry to the museum is of normal admission cost, but the atmosphere of the event more than warrants a tour. Learn more about the event here.

Lincoln, Nebraska: Museum of American Speed

For specialty automotive enthusiasts, making your way to the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed is a must. As usual, all one has to do is cruise in, park, and enjoy some coffee with fellow gearheads. The event is set to take place at the end of August and attendees will receive two complimentary vouchers to the Museum.

Monterey, California: WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

What car guy hasn’t dreamed of driving this legendary track? Formerly the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, this raceway was built in 1957 and is considered by many to be one of the world’s most technically challenging race tracks. Attendees of this Cars and Coffee events have the opportunity to enjoy a cup of joe alongside a stunning showcase of vehicles, all while basking in the glow of one of America’s most famous raceways. Austin, Texas: Circuit of the Americas

Everything is bigger in Texas. And this event is no exception, serving as the largest gathering of auto enthusiasts in Central Texas. When Cars and Coffee hits the Lonestar State it’s only natural they place the event at the Circuit of the Americas. This race track is where some of the greatest and fastest drivers in the world have put themselves to the test.

Admission is free but event coordinators do charge a $5 fee to be part of the auto show, with all proceeds going to charity. Not only does this event welcome you, your car, and your dog, there’s also an opportunity to do yourself some karting. AND there’s coffee. What more could you ask for?

Next Stop: Your Hometown

As you can see, Cars and Coffee is a pretty big deal. Granted, these are some of the biggest stops and attractions across the country. They boast amazing venues, but that isn’t the real reason to go. Taking part in a non-competitive auto event where everyone can relax and mingle is the true magic. Throughout the race and car show seasons, there’s a lot of competition and judging.
