Vehicle Spotlight: 2017 GMC Canyon Denali

The 2017 GMC Canyon Denali is set to be the only premium-grade truck in the mid-size truck market. GMC asserts “a premium-grade truck should offer plenty of style, strength and sophistication, but it shouldn’t be limited to a single size.” And that’s evident in its newest addition to the Canyon lineup.

Denali is a crew cab model available in both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive; it’s delivering 305 horsepower from a 3.6L V6 engine, with towing capabilities up to 7,000 lbs. Expect to receive an additional 700 in the Duramax 2.8L turbo-diesel version.

But even more impressive, the 2017 GMC Canyon Denali combines brute power and glam for one flashy package. Prepare to be captivated by a classy exterior that features a chrome grille, assist steps and a polished exhaust tip.  In addition, consumers receive upgraded 20” ultra-bright machined aluminum wheels and a protective spray-on bedliner.

Premium Interior Upgrades

And the luxury isn’t limited to the outside. As GMC states, “the premium theme continues within, where the 2017 GMC Canyon Denali is equipped with both upscale amenities and advanced technologies.” Enjoy luxurious leather heated and ventilated front seats, headrests and steering wheel.

There is added class and style with floormats and sill plates that are personalized with the Denali insignia. An 8” color touch screen presents GMC’s IntelliLink infotainment system with navigation, phone integration, OnStar services and 4G Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities. The high end, tech-savvy experience continues with a Bose seven-speaker audio system and a programmable teen driver mode. Standard safety alert features such as forward collision and lane departure warning are included as well.

All Terrain X

Also added to the Canyon offerings for 2017 is the All Terrain X. According to GMC, it’s “the most off-road-capable Canyon for those who travel beyond the paved path.” The GMC is already equipped with off-road suspension, a transfer case shield, hill-descent control and 3” step bars. Check out the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires and all-weather floor liners included in the “X” model.

A more diverse 2017 Canyon lineup reinforces GMC’s commitment to “giving customers more choice in configuring a small truck to their exact tastes.”
