Vehicle Spotlight: 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

Nissan’s Pathfinder is now in its fourth generation and sporting an updated look for the 2017 model year. “With four model years in the books, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder was due for a mid-cycle update to keep up with its competition such as the new Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander and Ford Explorer,” said Motor Trend.

Throwback Design

Old is new, as designers took a page out of its first-generation playbook for some style advice. And that means the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is showing off a more rugged exterior reminiscent of its early off-roading days. Also, it’s safe to assume that this family-friendly minivan alternative can still handle an adventure or two. You know, since the revised 3.5L V6 engine now pushes out 284 horsepower, has 6,000 lbs. of towing capacity and features selectable 2W or 4W driving modes.

Roomy & Comfy

Nissan states that the Pathfinder’s athletic updates offer dynamic performance at every turn. What’s clear is charisma extends to the vehicle’s premium interior as well. Truly versatile, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder offers comfortable seating for seven. And it has a flexible layout that provides extra floor and cargo space when you need to haul all that awkward sporting equipment. A cozy third seat comes in handy when ferrying the rest of your kids’ soccer team. And when not in use, throw a Weather Tech cargo liner back there to keep your new ride clean from the hoards of sporting gear.

Tech Connect

Add to that a sightseer’s delight with a panoramic moon roof and a hoard of trendy infotainment, connection and navigation services, and the world is your oyster. While you’re busy keeping an eye on the sights (or the kids bickering in the backseat), rest assured that the Pathfinder’s got its eye on you. Nissan’s Safety Shield approach “assists you in handling unexpected situations.” And their Intelligent Safety Shield Technologies are “like having an exceptionally aware co-pilot on board.”

Previously cruising in the middle of the pack, the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has made notable changes that will improve its ability to compete.
