See and Be Seen – Spyder Auto’s New Projector Headlights and Taillights for F-150

Headlights and taillights: literally every car has them.  And since they are so common, and are required to see and be seen, it is pretty easy to take them for granted.  However, if you take a close and careful look at the automotive aftermarket (and at nighttime opposing traffic) then you will see that a lot of attention is being paid to original equipment lighting.  Better performance and appearance are the hallmarks of today’s improved headlights and taillights, but usually only as a paid option, or standard on more upscale vehicles. Spyder Automotive provides drivers with the power to see and be seen in a whole new light.

The fact is, changing your OEM headlight assembly is one of the most practical, dramatic and affordable modifications one can make to their vehicle.  Case in point, the new Projector headlights and taillights from Spyder for the current model F-150 (2015-2017).  Taking full advantage of the bold new lines on the F-150’s front facia, Spyder outlines the edges of its new plug-and-play housings with a white daytime running light.  This upgraded look contrasts greatly to the bland-looking stock housing and more closely resembles the look of the 2017 SVT Raptor.

Furthermore, Spyder offers three versions for the new F-150. The 5083661 features a chrome housing for those looking to maintain consistency with other chrome appointments on their truck, such as bumpers or door handle covers.  For those that prefer a murdered-out look, both the 5083531 and 5083678 sport black housings, with the latter adding a smoke-tinted polycarbonate outer lens for an even more sinister appearance.  Even better is that all three come completely ready to install in just minutes with hand tools, require no modification to the vehicle and are plug and play.

To complete your F-150’s new look, opt for a matching LED taillight housing. The same three color options are available, as well as a fourth, a red housing with a clear lens. LED taillights are brighter than OEM housings that use halogen bulbs. What’s more is that bulb changing becomes a thing of the past.

Now that you’ve got a plan to improve your F-150’s appearances as well as your own visibility, consider a sleek new bed cover from Extang like the Trifecta 2.0. My recent post is linked below. Enjoy!
