Make a Mad Dash With Intellitronix New TJ Kit

Perhaps the following statement may prove false in 2018 when FCA releases the JL.  Jeeps have never been known for their technology. Especially in the cockpit, we find the “Keep it Simple” philosophy employed. Intellitronix, an Ohio based manufacturer, recently introduced a Digital Replacement Dash Panel for Jeep TJ. Read on to learn more about this tech-infusion for the 97-06 Wrangler, and the company that made it happen.

Smart Move

Since 1981 Intelitronix has been 100% USA based and  focused mostly on classic muscle car and truck applications. They’ve made a smart move in the DP6014, as Jeep owners love to modify and personalize their rig.  With the exception of being able to change out that old tape deck for a more modern head unit, the TJ’s interior had been largely forgotten.  The DP6014 is a direct replacement, custom made to fit the TJ.  All of Intellitronix’s previous kits, including those for Mustang, Corvette and Camaro are application specific and purpose built.

Intellitronix states that the digital Replacement Dash Panel for Jeep TJ can be installed by anyone. The Kit comes with a custom fit printed circuit board and smoked plexiglass face plate. Your factory TJ dash bezel is reused in this kit for ideal integration when complete. Behind this sexy, smoked window sits your new digital gauges.

  • Speedometer: Sweep style spedo can read up to 255 mph (in a TJ?… OK) with odometer, trip meter, one button calibration, with logging of 0-60 time, 1/4 mile and high speed recall
  • Tachometer: 0-9900 RPM in increments of 100 (TJ owners are more likely to top out this gauge than the previous one)
  • Water Temperature: 18-255° F
  • Oil Pressure: 0-99 PSI
  • Voltmeter: 7-25.5
  • Fuel Level:  Shown in percentage from 0-99%

There’s also connections to the original factory high beam, 4Wd and turn signals.  All required sending units and hardware are also provided.

Flying Colors

The other beauty about the Digital Replacement Dash Panel for Jeep TJ (and all Intellitronix kits) is that they are available in 4 colors. Simply ad an  “R”, “B”, “G” or “W” to the part number to indicate the LED color you desire. Now when you redline that TJ, its more of a sweeping red arc.  Intellitronix digital gauges are thing of beauty, and really must be seen to be fully appreciated.  I had just such a chance last week, and recorded this little snippet of eye candy:

After watching that, you’re probably looking to see if they offer coverage for your vehicle. Don’t fret if you don’t see it, as they also offer a “Create-A-Dash” kit, (part number DP10003) and some non-vehicle specific universal kits.
