RUBARKON is not only a playful spin on the legendary Rubicon model, but also the current pet project of Jeep® enthusiast and Keystone marketing associate Kris Lavery. And we’re not kidding when we said pet project! Lavery’s wife, Lisa, is the proud owner of Crazy Dog Lady, a pet grooming business based out of Old Forge, PA. This creative duo distinguishes their gig from the pack by picking up and dropping off their customers…the four-legged type. Not having a suitable vehicle for their growing business was challenging, but a little ingenuity allowed this husband and wife team to invest in a 2008 Jeep® JK Sport that could simultaneously conquer the outdoors and serve as a practical, presentable and fun transportation service for their customers.

“I caught the Jeep® bug about three years ago and have an unbridled love for the vehicle and the lifestyle,” said Lavery.

A self-proclaimed modder, Lavery has an intense impulse to change or hack anything and everything he can, from modifying his guitar collection to jail breaking his Apple iPhone all in the name of customized functionality. To him, it’s all about creating a better, more user-friendly experience. And there’s no bigger blank slate than a Jeep® build!
