The Evolution J series from J.W. Speaker has been the standard bearer for quality, performance, and style in 2007-2017 Jeep® Wrangler lighting. The “Evo J” headlight and matching fog light are the the most sought after in the category. The saying “Often Imitated, Never Duplicated” is relevant here, as inferior overseas copycats abound. Today, J.W. Speaker announced that they have succeeded where other manufacturers have failed. They have produced headlights and fog lights that exceed the performance of the Evo J.

If you own a JK, then you are probably well aware you drive one of the most capable off-road vehicles ever. The JK is also the best-ever offering from Jeep regarding its on-road manners and drivability. However, there is one undeniable shortcoming of the JK platform… the factory halogen headlights stink! They stink like a lukewarm bowl of #Covfefe left in the hot sun to get rancid. Many a Jeeper has opted to upgrade to an LED headlight assembly for improved night visibly and the distinctive modern look of today’s technology.
The 8700 Evolution J2 Series headlights keep the distinctive stylistic elements of their predecessors. Yes, they kept the half-halo. New is the J.W. Speaker logo front and center in bold red lettering. A new “Hydro-dipped” carbon fiber bezel is now available, as well as black. On the trail or at the mall, it will now be clear to everyone that your lights are legit. Plug and play with no added harnesses makes installation a breeze.
In “evolving” performance, the J2 Headlight features new Dual Burn™ technology. Jason Speaker, Account Manager for J.W. Speaker, explained the technology to me recently. “The biggest question we get asked when engaging with our customers is in regard to firing all of the optics at once,” he said. “The J2 Headlight utilizes all optical elements in high beam mode, for the best down-road punch possible.”
The 6145 J2 Series fog light kits offer the same bezel styling options as the 8700 J2 headlights.
Turn for the Better
No longer an afterthought are the turn signal lights of the JK. The 239 J2 Series signal lights are plug and play, replacing the turn signal lights in the JK’s grille. Three colored lens options are available. Amber (#0346483) maintains the color scheme of most Jeep Wranglers. Clear (#0346493) and Smoked (#0346503) kits allow you to upfit the JK with a color that more suits any other modifications being done. All three provide the performance of LED and are adorned with the J.W. Speaker logo.
