Sport Bar 2.0 – A Classic Favorite Amped Up

Jeep guys can tell you all about accessories that do very little else except look awesome.  As a young boy, I used to love the look of pickup trucks with Bed Bars or Roll Bars in the bed.  Sure they served as extra protection in a roll over. And yes, they provide a mounting point for additional lighting. But really, most guys had them because they looked cool.  Looking cool back then, however, doesn’t translate well today (see also Parachute Pants). Perhaps that’s why Go Rhino’s new Sport Bar 2.0 puts a modern twist on a classic favorite.

Meshing Around

The new Sport Bar 2.0 is designed to compliment today’s modern pickup truck.  Available in textured black powder coat or polished stainless steel, you can pick a finish that suits your truck best. Mesh side plates give the 2.0 a radical and more trendy look. The panels can be removed for a more traditional styling.  However, the side plates add a tough looking touch, and really make the 2.0 stand out.

Hidden Agenda

Here’s an example of automotive evolution. Perhaps you live in a state or locality that has strict ordinances about off-road lighting. Or, maybe you want to eek out as many MPGs as possible by reducing drag.  The new Sport Bar 2.0 offers a power-actuated hideaway for off-road lights.  Lights can be mounted in a pre-assembled, pre-installed protective box.  A simple button press will raise your lights when needed, and stow them out of the elements when not called for.

Now you can have the cool factor of a Bed Bar and the functionality of powered retractable off-road lighting. That’s evolution.

Plays Well With Others

Go Rhino’s new Sport Bar 2.0 tops it’s old school predecessor in another way. It offers compatibility with most retractable (canister style) roll up and even some folding truck bed covers.  Tonneau covers are perhaps the most popular accessory for truck owners. Go Rhino smartly invites those folks to the Sport Bar 2.0 party. I would imagine they dont get a great deal of regrets in their RSVPs.
