If you’ve never been a part of a service industry, going on daily service calls to homes and business, than you may not appreciate the special challenges these folks face. I do. All too well. I’m 5’6″, and spent much of my summers and years shortly after college working for my family’s swimming pool business. Ladders, sticks of PVC pipe, extension cords, etc were all stored up on the truck rack. I really would have benefited from a work truck step. None of those items were within reach from the ground. Even for taller crew members, there was just no way to get up there without help.

The CARR work truck step is designed to mount to the service body. A service body replaces a heavy-duty pickup truck’s bed with a smaller bed flanked with toolboxes for secure storage of tools needed daily. By mounting the work truck step underneath the forward or rear tool box (see video), a safe and stealth step is now available to reach high-mounted tools.
