Brand Spotlight: Diamond Eye Performance Has Its Sights Set on… Your Rig

Diamond Eye Performance takes pride in building some of the best exhaust systems available on the market today. Based in Athena, Oregon, the company manufactures applications for full-sized trucks—both diesel and gas. And with a combination of automotive passion and high-quality construction, Diamond Eye Performance ensures exceptional products at competitive prices. In fact, the company’s kits have been proven to increase fuel economy, power, and torque. All with a premium exhaust note as an added bonus! Custom stack kits, tail pipes, and a multitude of exhaust accessories are available for a variety of makes and models.

Each kit is crafted with trained hands and precision machinery. And after being bent and cut to suit the application, each component is thoroughly cleaned before packaging. This just goes to show the level of pride and care that goes into each and every part. It’s the perfect solution when a customer wants the added power, mean growl, and craftsmanship that comes from being developed right here in the good ol’ US of A.

A Respected Brand with Loyal Collaborators

Jobbers, hobbyists, and professionals across the industry love and admire Diamond Eye Performance. Just check out their website to see multiple builds where they have collaborated with some of the biggest names in the biz. Particularly impressive is their ultra-sleek 2012 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins 2500 built for SEMA 2013. Featuring a 12″ lift and 40″ tires, as well as incredible custom fabrication by Street to Sand in Reno, Nevada, the truck is a true head-turning show vehicle. Diesel World devoted an article to the exciting rig in January 2015. You can take a deep dive on all the specs here.

As fans, we had to geek out on some other badass builds the company has collaborated on. These are sure to stop passerby in their tracks.

1948 Ford F5 COE Hauler Cabover for SEMA 2016

Resting on a 1985 GM C30 chassis, the ’48 Ford sports a completely custom hauler bed designed and built by Anvil Fabworks, along with work by Crawl2Run Fabrication, a WARN winch, and a tie down system by Mac’s. Further collaborations were made to tackle the immaculate paint job, custom rear suspension, wiring, lighting, custom-wrapped seats, and 12-valve Cummins engine paired with an ATS Diesel-built Allison Transmission. And obviously, the ride isn’t complete without a Diamond Eye Performance fully custom exhaust system. Performance Authority Truck & Off Road in Helena, Montana handled most of the heavy-duty work, and has collaborated with Diamond Eye Performance on some other note-worthy builds.

Vintage ’60s Era GMC C10 for Pro Street

This baby blue 1965 C10, known as the “Demon Smurf,” was also a custom show vehicle for SEMA 2016. It was actually hauled in on the back of the 1948 Ford detailed above. Purchased in 2014 for a mere $1,200, the C10 was completely rebuilt from the ground up. Among many upgrades and custom refittings spanning over two years, the C10 now sports a 1500 horsepower Duramax powerplant and modified twin Borg Warner S369SX-E turbochargers mounted individually on custom stainless steel headers. Our friends at Diamond Eye Performance fashioned it with an impressive custom dual straight-pipe exhaust system. And its racing look is completed by 33 x 17.5 in Hoosier drag slicks. A purpose-built exhibition vehicle that’s also street legal? Consider us very jealous.

We do love our jaw-dropping show vehicles. But here are some more real-world applications that also model Diamond Eye products.

Bitchin’ Excursion SUV

Built on a Ford F-250 Super Duty chassis, this custom Excursion‘s exterior sports shaved bodysides, a black-powder coated rear bumper, custom-fabricated roof rack, and a hot pink Rok-Tek mesh grille. It’s powered by a 24-valve 5.9L Cummins I-6 that dishes 325 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque in stock form. With massive wheels and tires, a BDS 8″ lift kit all around, and off-road lamps and D-rings, this rig is more than capable of tackling whatever off-road adventure comes its way. And of course it wouldn’t be complete without that growling Diamond Eye Performance 4″ exhaust. The vehicle was featured as a show car at SEMA 2015 for the Rok-Tek company. But owner Rachelle Arnold uses this baby as her daily driver, as well. Girl power, indeed.

Paint the Town Red Dodge Ram

With the help of Indiana shops, White Knuckles Garage and Budget Built Customs, owner Zack Turchany was able to turn his ’00 Dodge Ram 2500 daily driver into a thing of beastly beauty. Powered by a 5.9L Cummin I-6 with a 47RE four-speed automatic transmission and compound turbochargers, the ride also sports a Diamond Eye Performance 5″ turbo-back exhaust. Add to that a Performance Accessories 3″ body lift, BDS Suspension leaf springs, Offroad LED headlights and foglights, Tonno Pro tonneau cover, and a virtual litany of other modifications. Truck Trend has a full breakdown of the specs on their site here. And you could always head over to the owner’s Instagram account, Monster24v, for a host of proudly displayed snapshots of his sweet ride.
